How to make base with broken doric columns?

Another short tutorial about scenic bases. Today about how easy it is to create a stand with broken Doric columns. You will not find any magic here :)

Kolejny krótki poradnik o podstawkach scenicznych. Dzisiaj o tym jak łatwo stworzyć podstawkę z połamanymi kolumnami doryckimi. Nie znajdziecie tutaj żadnej magii :)

The main element of the base are old, tired and broken Doric columns. I used here ready-made, resin components from Secret Weapon. Their presentation can be found in one of my old articles - Scenic & Basing Kits (part 1).

Głównym elementem podstawki są stare, zniszczone i połamane kolumny doryckie. Użyłem tutaj gotowych, żywicznych elementów od Secret Weapon. Ich prezentację możecie znaleźć w jednym z moich starych artykułów - Scenic & Basing Kits (part 1).

As a base I used the resin pedestal also from the Secret Weapon. I wrote about them here - Resin Display Bases. At the beginning I've planned location of all the elements and figurines. Pieces of columns I've glued using Super Glue.

Jako bazę, użyłem żywicznego piedestału również od Secret Weapon. Pisałem o nich więcej tutaj - Resin Display Bases. Na początku zaplanowałem położenie wszystkich elementów i figurki. Kawałki kolumn przykleiłem klejem typu Super Glue.

I used the fast and easy solution to create the earth - Vallejo textures.
Zastosowałem szybkie i łatwe rozwiązanie by stworzyć ziemię - tekstury Vallejo.

Before the mass dried, I've pressed her further small pebbles.
Zanim masa wyschła, powciskałem w nią dodatkowe drobne kamyczki.

Once again, check the position of figures with respect to all items on the base. I waited to the next day until everything dry.

Jeszcze raz sprawdziłem położenie figurki względem wszystkich elementów na podstawce. Poczekałem, do następnego dnia aż wszystko dokładnie wyschnie.

I used black Vallejo Surface Primer. I applied it using the airbrush.
Użyłem czarnego podkładu Vallejo Surface Primer. Nałożyłem bo przy pomocy aerografu.

As the base color I used 71.028 Sand Yellow. I applied it using an airbrush but that a black primer stuck in some places and created a shadow.

Jako bazowego koloru użyłem 71.028 Sand Yellow. Nałożyłem go używając aerografu ale tak by czarny podkład przebijał w wybranych miejscach i tworzył cień.

Using airbrush I've added some additional shades of brown and black, using Vallejo Model Wash.
Aerografem dodałem kilka dodatkowych odcieni brązu oraz czerń, używając Vallejo Model Wash.

All columns highlighted with colors 72.701 Dead White and 72.747  Wolf Grey using the airbrush.
Wszystkie kolumny rozjaśniłem kolorami 72.701 Dead White i 72.747 Wolf Grey używając aerografu.

The surface of the earth painted Vallejo Model Wash.
Powierzchnię ziemi pomalowałem Vallejo Model Wash.

Small stones were painted in the same color as the column. The edges of the columns, stones and earth, highlighted using "dry brush" technique.

Pomalowałem drobne kamienie w tym samym kolorze co kolumny. Krawędzie kolumn, kamienie oraz ziemię,  rozjaśniłem techniką "suchego pędzla".

I glued the tufts of grass from Paint Forge. I used different shades and size.
Przykleiłem kępki trawy firmy Paint Forge. Zastosowałem różne odcienie i wielkość.

I added dry pigments. I do not use any pigment fixer.
Dodałem suche pigmenty. Nie utrwalałem ich.

Similarly I've done base for Hospitaller Knight, XII C model. I used only a different color scheme.
Podobnie wykonałem podstawkę do modelu Hospitaller Knight, XII C. Zastosowałem jedynie inną kolorystykę.
