How to make a Magic Vortex?
W tym krótki poradniku pokażę Wam mój sposób na wykonanie prostego magicznego wiru (wiru magii, czarodziejskiego wiatru czy jak tam chcecie go nazwać :) ). Myślę, że tą metodę możecie spokojnie użyć do figurek fantasy w dowolnej skali.

To make a magical vortex we will need Water Effect from Vallejo. You can use the transparent or blue version. It all depends on what effect you want to achieve.
Aby wykonać magiczny wir potrzebny będzie nam Water Effect od firmy Vallejo. Możecie użyć wersji transparentnej lub niebieskiej. Wszystko zależy od tego jaki efekt chcecie uzyskać.
Personally, after several tests I found that the Extra Heavy Gel effect is the most suitable. It's the hardest and stiffest when dry.
Osobiście po kilku testach stwierdziłem, iż najbardziej odpowiedni jest efekt Extra Heavy Gel. Jest on najtwardszy i najsztywniejszy po wyschnięciu.
We also need smooth plastic. We can use old boxes for this.
Potrzebujemy jeszcze gładkiego plastiku. Możemy w tym celu wykorzystać stare pudełka.
The size of our plastic plate depends on how big the magic vortex we want to create.
Wielkość naszej plastikowej płytki zależy od tego jak duży magiczny wir chcemy stworzyć.
Using an old brush, apply Extra Heavy Gel (or Water Effect) to the plastic plate. We need to form a spiral shape.
Używając starego pędzla nakładamy Extra Heavy Gel (lub Water Effect) na plastikową płytkę. Formujemy kształt spirali.
Now we wait for the Extra Heavy Gel to dry completely. We have to be patient. Drying time depends on how much of this product we used. After drying, detach the spiral from the plastic plate using a sharp knife. We must do it precisely and slowly so as not to damage the spiral.
Teraz czekamy, aż Extra Heavy Gel całkowicie wyschnie. Musimy być cierpliwi. Czas schnięcia zależy od tego jak dużo tego specyfiku użyliśmy. Po wyschnięciu odczepiamy spiralę od plastikowej płytki przy użyciu ostrego noża. Musimy wykonać to precyzyjnie i powoli aby nie uszkodzić spirali.
If we don't paint our spiral, it can also imitate a vortex created from water. Note that the bottom of the spiral is smooth.
Jeśli nie pomalujemy naszej spirali, może ona imitować również wir utworzony z wody. Zwróć uwagę, że spód spirali jest gładki.
Now all we have to do is stretch the spiral and place it in the right place on our model. We use super glue for attach. If the spiral is too flexible in some place, it can be hardened by adding Super Glue in the form of a gel. It's best to apply the glue to the smooth bottom of the spiral.
Teraz pozostaje nam już tylko rozciągnąć spiralę i umieścić ja we właściwym miejscu na naszym modelu. Do przyczepienia używamy kleju typu super glue. Jeśli spirala jest w jakimś miejscu zbyt elastyczna, możną ją utwardzić dodając kleju typu Super Glue w postaci żelu. Najlepiej posmarować klejem gładki spód spirali.
The magic vortex can be painted in any color. I painted it after sticking it in the right place.
Magiczny wir można pomalować w dowolnym kolorze. Ja pomalowałem go dopiero po przyklejeniu we właściwe miejsce.
I think such a vortex is a nice addition to fantasy miniatures. This way you can add variety to the model and give it some dynamism. I hope that my tutorial will be useful for you in future projects :)
