HeroQuest - How to paint furniture pieces?
Tym postem rozpoczynam dokumentowanie procesu malowania całej zawartości pudełka gry Hero Quest. Elementów terenu i figurek jest tak dużo, że zajmie mi to trochę czasu. Dlatego podziele całą "przygodę" z tą grą na kilka osobnych postów. Nie będą to super dokładne opisy krok po kroku. Będą to bardziej zdjęcia wykonane na różnych etapach malowania. Czasem byłem w transie i nie zrobiłem zdjęć, czasem zrobiłem ich więcej. Mimo wszystko myśle, że taki materiał może byc przydatny. Da Wam to również obraz jak dużo elementów jest w pudełku z grą, jak wyglądają i jakiej są one jakości.

In this post I will focus on 15 furniture figurines. I washed all models in warm soapy water. I advise you not to skip this step. The models are slightly oily and sometimes it may be difficult to apply paint to them. I tried to paint everything as quickly as possible, but in good quality for board game models. The kids were waiting to play :)
W tym poście skupie się na 15 figurkach mebli. Wszystkie modele umyłem w ciepłej wodzie z mydłem. Radzę Wam nie pomijać tego kroku. Modele są lekko tłuste i czasem możę być probelm z nałożeniem na nie farby. Starałem się pomalować wszystko jak najszybciej ale w dobrej jakości jak na modele do gry planszowej. Dzieciaki czekały żeby zagrać :)
I planned to use different colors of primers using an airbrush. I also did preliminary simple shading of some elements with an airbrush.
Zaplanowałem użycie różnych kolorów podkładów za pomocą aerografu. Aerografem wykonałem również wstępne proste cieniowanie niektórych elementów.
I matched the color of the surface primers to the appropriate elements. I painted all wooden models, such as wardrobes and tables, with a brown primer and the rest with black primer.
Dobrałem kolor podkładu do odpowiednich elementów. Wszystkie drewniane modele jak szafy, stoły pomalowałem brązowym podkładem, pozostałe czarnym.

I painted the crates in the same way as wooden barrels. The method is identical to my old video tutorial:

I pre-shaded all the wardrobes (as well as the chests) using an airbrush.
Wszystkie szafy (tak samo jak skrzynie) wstępnie wycieniowałem za pomocą aerografu.
Then I added a brown and black wash into any crevices. I lightened it with a dry brush to bring out the wood texture.
Następnie dodałem brązowy i czarny wash we wszelkie zagłebienia. Suchym pędzlem rozjaśniłem tak aby wydobyć fakturę drewna.
I painted the books in completely random colors. I highlighted all the edges of the wardrobe to enhance the contrast. I glued the extra skulls onto the shelf.

I aged the metal elements with a black mustache and slightly brightened them with GSW 1863 - Mystic White paint.

I painted the entire tomb using the dry brush technique. Several shades of gray + black wash.

I painted all the furniture this way. The photo below also shows a door that I didn't include in this post.
W ten sposób pomalowałem wszystkie meble. Na zdjęciu poniżej widać również drzwi, których nie ująłem w tym poście.
I protected all elements with matte varnish.
